At risk of being premature, I told you so. An opinion poll this week gave Londoners a choice of issues that would most influence how they decide to vote on 2 May. Only six per cent selected the Ultra-Low Emission Zone.
True, it came halfway up the list of options, ahead of the environment, public transport and Met reform. But six per cent was hardly a vindication of the months of seething enmity directed at the scheme by Tory candidate Susan Hall and her army of media cheerleaders, continued this week with a risible election broadcast devoted to it.
