Don't get carried away, but the madness of King Donald threatens London's economy less than those of just about every other city in Britain.

Analysis by think tank Centre for Cities has found that Coventry is in line to suffer most, followed by Derby and Telford. London, by contrast is assigned 60th position on its list of 62, with only Edinburgh and York better sheltered from the storm of Trump's bullying, bragging and now bluster to cover his partial retreat.

The reason London is at relatively low risk is that the Trump tariffs apply to imports of goods, not services, and London's economy is highly service-oriented. This also explains why the South East in general is likely to suffer the least and the West Midlands in general, the most.

The fact remains, however, that the tariffs are hurting the whole country and its friendly trading partners. The fact also remains that Trump is a completely clueless egocentric arse whose approach and attitude must be resisted. What can Londoners do in their daily lives to help limit the damage he is doing?
