Breaking, as they say...

On Sunday, I did a five-hour round trip in the capital, starting at the newly-opened, temporary Seven Sisters Market where, as well as snacking decadently - one empanada, one pandebono, one Colombian coffee - I watched droves of NFL fans processing up the High Road to Tottenham Hotspur’s handsome stadium.

The scene brought to mind recent figures showing increasing numbers of Americans visiting London and seeking UK citizenship. The more Trump trumpets about how dreadful the city is, the more Americans want to be here.
