London’s history is enormous and astounding, with new chapters being written every day and old ones being unearthed for our enlightenment and delight. The capital’s past, like its present, is also susceptible to misrepresentation for mischievous ends.
Since this time last week, the output of On London has provided examples of both these things, ranging from a tour through surviving traces of silent movie production in the east of the city to an exposure of manipulation of data about housing and migration in the more recent past by a particularly shameless politician.
