There’s no right or wrong answer for this, is there? It could equally be argued it should be borough or Mayor but again what are the claims? Mayor will claim he represents Greater London but why doesn’t that include ‘Greater’ London, e.g. Slough, Watford and much more? Westminster will say it is the heart of London but why no central London borough, including Holborn and Waterloo, etc?

And so should this say over the ‘nation’s (UK or England) High Street’ mean it should be a Parliamentary decision?

I hope the Mayor thinks nationally, something that never normally happens and turns Oxford  Street into Britain Road and uses the limited space there to sell the rest of our island to visitors, e.g. with a Scottish section with good displays and info and even shops from that country, i.e. art, next-gen power, maybe food and drink but no haggis, tartan, etc. - and East Anglian. West Country, Wales.

Britain Road could be just that for those whom are thinking ‘Where next; or ‘What’s even in the North East’, be they residents or tourists.

Is there any reason to think/hope this iteration of traffic management will tackle the central areas traffic issues?
