For a couple of years I and a BBC Radio producer Andrew McGibbon have been putting together radio documentary style podcasts for The London Society, the distinguished charity of which I am a trustee. Run under the series title London Explained, these have been well-received and will continue (in fact, a new one will be released very soon).
However, they also take a long time to put together and the society and I thought it would be good to launch a separate but complementary series of discussion podcasts, which can be put together much more quickly, to boost podcast output overall.
These, unlike the documentaries, which are London Society projects, will be joint endeavours with On London, co-presented by me and London Society chair Leanne Tritton.
The new series is called Talk About London and the very first edition explores the recently-published London Growth Plan, an ambitious document put together by City Hall and London Councils that sets a pathway for greater prosperity for the capital and its people.
Leanne and I were joined by two outstanding guest experts: Antonia Jennings, chief executive of think tank Centre for London and Dr Jack Brown, lecturer in London Studies at King’s College. Watch and enjoy our 30-odd minute conversation below.

Aces! I’ve enjoyed your London Explained podcasts, so I’ll give this one a spin too.
