Thanks. A very well researched read. I have recently started accessing the area with the new 310 bus route from the Islington side and have been struck by the vibrancy and comparative spaciousness around Manor House. The school closures discussion is also balanced.
Thanks, an excellent piece and an antidote to some of the campaigning accounts I've read, which don't let facts get in the way of a good story. My mother was born and brought up very close to the other side of the original estate, and often talked about what it was like before and after it was built, which is one of the reasons I've been following this second regeneration. I still live near enough to walk to my favourite coffee place, the Coal House Cafe on the wetlands.
Thanks, interesting and balanced. I was a Hackney resident for around 30 years, and know this area pretty well, albeit I didn’t live here. Useful to seethe numbers behind the arguments, and to see how you personally have assessed and reassessed the development as it has proceeded.
My personal view, as a non resident (and having since left Hackney and London), is that the area improved over time, but the number, size and quality of social housing is critical for final views.
There's a long way to go, and people like WDCO are right to be vigilant. I think optimal outcomes are more likely to occur if there's as much co-operation between all interested parties as possible. Thanks.

Thank you, Frank.

That's very nice of you, Peter. Thanks.

Thank you for this meticulously researched, balanced piece.
Thank you for saying so, Caroline.
