Thanks for this - my home was to have been demolished under the Archway Rd widening scheme and I go to Jackson’s Lane regularly, so I have particular cause to be grateful to Nicky Gavron.

Wonderful tribute capturing Nicky’s key qualities of enthusiasm, persistence, practical political skills & disarming personal humility

The best tribute we can do for Nicky is continuing to make London a better city.

Thank you so much, Dave - one of the finest appreciations of the remarkable Nicky. She was not a self-promoter & had an understated and unthreatening style. Probably why she was so effective And yes, with that “kind and feathery” voice as you so perfectly describe. I was at her Pink Plaque ceremony and learnt so much about her life, which reads like a biography of London. There will be much more written about Nicky as people realise the quiet impact she had on London over decades. A multidimensional, wonderful woman and friend. Nicky inspired and was loved by many of us - her legacy will continue.

A real live wire. Only met her once but she immediately took an interest and listened.
